Health is holistic. In the same way you must feed your body correctly in order to reach physical health goals, you must feed your mind and spirit correctly in order to reach spiritual, mental, emotional (etc) health goals as well. If you want to get in shape, you must strengthen your health through workouts AND nutrition, one without the other won’t get you far. Similarly, if you desire to reach your full potential in life you can’t be healthy in one area and neglect other areas of yourself. This section is dedicated to the many resources Morgan has used to strengthen her spiritual, mental and emotional health, Enjoy!
Every living thing on this planet was created for a certain purpose. In 2019 Morgan began to intentionally uncover her calling in life by reconnecting with who created her. Her spiritual health journey has been the key to unlocking the plan that God has laid out for her.
After the passing of her mom in 2019, a month before graduating college, she learned the intention behind God’s timing. She understood the pain she endured was to be used for a purpose greater than herself.
The resources below are a few tools that have truly helped change her life and build a relationship with God. Young people especially often struggle with understanding how to build a spiritual relationship. With the help of the wonderful pastors at Transformation Church, she has used their guidance, simplicity in messages and physical demonstrations to take her first steps. As she has furthered her relationship, she has identified a few of her favorite scriptures that help her remain faithful, disciplined and focused on all that God has for her. Enjoy!
10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.
5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
